Lore Dump: Dragon Hunter’s Guild
After the 1000 year war with the dragons, the humans and elves were triumphant and quickly took over the land. They drove out or killed any opposing dragon’s but the few that went into hiding would come out in between their hibernations to terrorize cities all over Foxbridge.
Vixen Bristol, the warrior that brought victory in war, was known famously as the Dragon Slayer and because of this, Foxbridge was named in remembrance of her and the peace that was brought by her hand.
She created the Dragon Hunter’s Guild to protect citizens all over Foxbridge from remnants of the tyranny that the dragon’s brought. It has remained a revered group of individuals ever since, though, no longer recognized by royalty due to how few dragons there are in this age.
The Dragon Hunters guild has slowly been dwindling in numbers in the last hundred years or so but there are bloodlines that still hold true to the original guild members and it is a part of their whole culture.
The most well known of the bloodlines is of the Drakonov Tribe in the swamps of the East. They are a human tribe and their culture is centered around worshipping dragons. The bloodline that serves the guild has taken an oath to vanquish all dragons of evil nature.
