Lore Dump: Namubada, the Eastern Empire
Currently the empire is being ruled by the Wei Lin Dynasty. Their ruler is currently Fong Wei Lin, successor of Tang Wei Lin. He has ruled the empire for the last 55 years. He has only produced one heir by the name of Yuri Wei Lin who had three children before her untimely death. Her oldest child being Ronin or Victoria Yuri Wells. Her other two children are known as Naoki and Tony Wells. It is unclear which child shall succeed the Emperor as he has not named his successor.
Emperor Fong is a strict and traditional ruler in some aspects but innovative in other aspects. His first decree as emperor was to restructure the noble class. Nobles do not obtain status by birthright and wealth but instead achieved through someone’s intellectual worth. Someone who is progressive and intelligent is given an opportunity in the emperor’s as part of the noble class.
Because of this, he was able to remove all power driven and wealth wasting nobles from their positions and appoint diplomats, builders, and scholars regardless of their class.
Emperor Fong was the first and only ruler in Foxbridge to take advantage of the Underground and it’s vast system to boost his economy and lower crime rates. All activity that would be considered in most cities “illegal” has been legalized in the empire, allowing for the taxation of more trade goods and services. Slave trade is especially taxed and regulated in the empire, preventing most slave traders and owners from obtaining an immense profit off of unwilling slaves, however, this does allow slave trade to prosper not just in the empire but across all of foxbridge. Slaves born into the system will likely have prosperous and happier lives in the empire because of the regulations.
